How to choose and install kitchen cabinet pulls

When it comes to kitchen design, every detail matters, and cabinet hardware is no exception. Choosing the right cabinet pulls can enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of your kitchen.

In this guide, we will explore the art of selecting and installing cabinet pulls, with a focus on what are often associated with modern kitchens and traditional kitchens.

Modern Aesthetics with Cabinet Pulls

Modern kitchen designs often prioritize clean lines, sleek surfaces, and minimalist aesthetics. Cabinet pulls, with their elongated and contemporary designs, seamlessly complement these characteristics.

When choosing cabinet pulls for a modern kitchen, consider materials such as stainless steel, brushed nickel, or matte black. These finishes not only add a touch of sophistication but also contribute to the modern, industrial vibe that many homeowners seek in contemporary kitchen designs.

Traditional Elegance with Cabinet Knobs

On the other hand, cabinet knobs have long been associated with more traditional kitchen designs. Classic and timeless, knobs bring a sense of elegance and charm to the kitchen space.

If your kitchen boasts intricate detailing, warm color schemes, or a more traditional architectural style, cabinet knobs can be the perfect finishing touch.

Materials like brass, bronze, or porcelain are popular choices for traditional cabinet knobs. Their warm and rich tones can enhance the cozy and inviting atmosphere that characterizes many classic kitchens.

How to Install Cabinet Pulls

I’ve recently upgraded my kitchen with the Honey Bronze Amwell Bar Pulls from Top Knobs and decided to install pulls on everything to match my modern home aesthetic.

To install these I took out the old knobs. Used the hole as a guide and marked where other hole should be.

I used this drill guide to mark the hole. Then drilled a hole to install the pull. I absolutely love how our kitchen more cohesive and modern now.
